Since our current pricing was established over 7 years ago there have been many changes both in the Hosted CTFd feature set and worldwide economic forces.

Our underlying costs have increased across the board and we are updating our pricing to better reflect those new costs as well as better support our users and invest in product improvements.

Updated Pricing

Our new pricing plans are as follows:

  • Basic: $60/month (or $50/month if billed annually)
  • Plus: $120/month (or $100/month if billed annually)
  • Professional: $360/month (or $300/month if billed annually)
  • Enterprise: $600/month (or $500/month if billed annually)

Customers currently on an annual billing cycle will not see any changes in their pricing unless additional discounts or fees apply.

If you’d like to lock in an annual rate before the change, please contact us to discuss switching to yearly billing.

Educational & Non-Profit Discounts

After introducing educational and non-profit discounts we've seen many customers reach out to us about discounted pricing.

We are delighted about the impact that these discounts have had in empowering educators in their classrooms and workshops, however we are updating these discounts to make them more sustainable as well as to address some issues we have had in their implementation.

Educational and Non-Profit discounts will now be the same at 50% off Hosted CTFd instances. This discount will apply to any Hosted CTFd instance regardless of their tier.

After discussion with some affected customers we have decided that this change unfairly affects certain customers more than others and so we will not be moving forward with the above change. The Educational discount will remain at 80% and the Non-Profit discount will remain at 50%.

This discount will apply (upon request) to customers who are entirely focused on education or non-profit activities. Both the direct customer and any parent organizations must be fully education or non-profit focused.

Self-Hosted CTFd Enterprise Sponsorship

Educational organizations running public CTFs or using CTFd within their classes can now reach out to us to request a sponsored self-hosted CTFd Enterprise license.

The CTF or class must be associated with an educational organization. In addition, CTFs must be free of charge to participate in.

This is currently only open the US/EU areas but we hope to expand this in the future.

Email Overages

To support future features in CTFd surrounding email notifications we will be implementing email limits in Hosted CTFd instances. If you exceed the allocated monthly limit, additional emails will be billed at $1.80 per 1000 emails.

  • Basic: 2,000 emails
  • Plus: 5,000 emails
  • Professional: 15,000 emails
  • Enterprise: 25,000 emails

New pricing will take effect for all customers on March 15th 2025.
